Info:
Stephen, Josh, and Tommy were hanging out after school one day and they decided to start a band. They were all into the same bands and loved music. They told Ches about their plans, and he wnated in too. They all got their istruments for Christmas in 1998. Stephen got a bass, Josh got a guitar, Tommy got a mic and PA, and Ches also got a guitar. Later, one of Tommy's friends, John, got a drumset and they began practicing. They all learned to play their instruments together with help from friends. After some time, they were having decent practices playing cover songs. They first played live at the Relay For Life Festival in Cheraw, SC. They rocked the stage until they were pulled by the festival organizers after covering "Bulls on Parade." Although they only played a couple of songs, it was a success for the band, know at that time as "SyNgD." In the comming months, Tommy decided to quit the band and left the band looking for another singer. Ches stepped up from being a great guitar player to be a stellar vocal force. Ches became the vocalist and Josh would be the lone guitar. The band really took shape with this change. As they kept practicing, they grew musically and became better musicians. Finally they came up with a new name: "Lotus," and also acquired a new drummer, Bob.
